The Programmer Tried to Draw

I've been busy with some game project lately. Of course, as a programmer. I found a lots of fun here. in game development, there are so many jobs which is divided according to each person's skill. Such as game designer, artist, programmer, sound engineer, etc. working as a team like this is very awesome for me.

But suddenly, I think what if we switch our job some time? I.e. artist become programmer, sound engineer become artist, and so on. Haha, then I think what if I become a game artist? Obviously, it's very hard for me to do. But I just wanna to try. what is so wrong here? :)

Before I start to become a game artist, i surfed the internet. Yeah! gathering some reference and tutorial. And I found this: http://2dgameartforprogrammers.blogspot.com. Well, I think 2D arts is not so bad for beginner. More over, it's written "for programmers", very interesting. :)

Wayang Robot

Did you know wayang? Wayang is one of traditional Javanese culture. There are so many kinds of Wayang. Wayang Kulit, Wayang Orang, Wayang Golek, etc. You can get more information about Wayang here.

And then, what is Wayang Robot? Fine, first of all, I would like to tell you that Wayang Robot is not included to pure Wayang's variation I mentioned above. Wayang Robot is actually a game project. I and Andri created this project to fulfill our final task in our college. Why must Wayang? And why must Robot? Yeah, we want to conserve this great culture (Wayang) and make it more futuristic (Robot). ;)

Wayang Robot is educational game. This game is designed with 3D concept. In this game, we could learn Aksara Jawa (Javanese Language) in a fun way. If you see the picture above, his name is RM-04, the protagonist character in Wayang Robot. Just for your information, the name RM-04 and his characteristic inspired by Rama, one of Wayang character in Ramayana Story.

How To Play Gameboy Advance (GBA) Games on Android

This last 2 weeks, I've been really busy to catch and collect so many rare Pokémons. Catch Pokémons? In a real life? Nope, of course not. :D I just started to play my old favorite Gameboy Advance game: Pokémon Fire Red! :D

It doesn't mean that I have a Gameboy Advance device. I just use my Samsung Galaxy Mini (with Android 2.3.4 Ginger Bread) to play it through an emulator. Is it possible? Of course, I've tried it. :D Anyway, it's a fun thing to play some classic-nostalgic games on your Android device. :)

My First Day in Kalimantan

Once again, just like my previous long holiday, I can't waste it with my parents and families at home. Sadly, but what could I do? :( This holiday, I go to Kalimantan. No! Not for vacation. It's my college duty to do PKN (Praktek Kerja Nyata) in there. At PT. Thiess precisely.

Two days ago, I went there with Misbah. I was feeling little nervous because (well it's embarrassing) it's my first airplane ride. :p For about 90 minutes we arrived at Syamsudin Nur airport. It was raining when we were waiting for Kak Agus (Misbah's friend) to pick us up from airport.

Since we've traveled a long time from Malang to Banjar, we were so hungry. Then Kak Agus treat us Soto Banjar. Ayeey! :D
